“I’ve never worked in health care before!”
Diane chose a career in accounting because she was always good with numbers, but she chose St. John’s Rehab because she wanted her work to contribute to a cause.
Diane’s job is more than numbers. She works with all departments to determine the best allocation of financial resources.
“There’s a lot of work to do, a variety of things to do,” says Diane, “But one of the best things about working on a smaller team is less duplication of work and more accountability.”
“Every penny counts here and because of that, you are motivated to do the best you can and find better ways of doing the same things."
Liking her job is about more than just the tasks involved. “My environment means a lot to me.”
“Everyone seems to really get along,” she says. “People here are easy-going and down-to-earth.” Diane also loves the 25 acres of landscaped grounds and the ability to have lunch outside and see rabbits!
“I love the environment, I like my space and my team,” says Diane. “Here, it’s all about working together and helping people.”
