Auxiliary Volunteers

Auxiliary member's handThe Auxiliary members at St. John's Rehab Hospital play a vital role in patient care and support services on a daily basis. Our volunteer force contributed more than 21,000 hours of volunteer service in 2006-07.

Many special events are planned throughout the year by the hospital's volunteers to provide entertainment, fellowship and as fundraising opportunities for the hospital. Volunteers run our gift shop and lottery desk, visit patient rooms on a weekly basis with our coffee, shopping and library carts, and provide staff support.

Their tireless fundraising efforts provide the community with a channel of support and charitable giving. Their energy and enthusiasm is evident in their planning of three major annual events: the Gigantic Garage Sale, the Garden Party and the November Noel Bazaar. Money raised by the Auxiliary goes towards the Rebuilding Lives campaign to support the hospital's new building project, educatiom, research and treatment equipment.

Volunteering is also a great opportunity to establish friendships with fellow volunteers, staff, the Sisters and patients. If you are interested in becoming a part of this exceptional team, please call 416-226-6780 ext. 7022.
