  Representatives from the Carpenters' Union, Central Ontario Regional Council; the Interior Systems Contractors Association of Ontario; and the Universal Workers Union, Local 183 Toronto, announced a combined $1 million gift to the Rebuilding Lives campaign in support of the hospital.
• Taking a swing for rehab: Annual golf tournament raises $90,000 for St. John's Rehab Hospital (June 12, 2009)
  On June 8, 2009, more than 120 supporters teed up to raise money for St. John's Rehab Hospital at the 2009 Rehab Golf Classic.
• $4 million per year for weekend rehab reduces wait times, rebuilds more lives (May 19, 2009)
  Survivors of life-altering illnesses and injuries will spend less time in the hospital and more time with their families and in the community thanks to a government investment of $4 million per year.
• St. John's Rehab serves up gratitude at Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (April 22, 2009)
  In celebration of National Volunteer week, St. John's Rehab Hospital will serve up gratitude to our dedicated volunteer Auxiliary.
• Canadian Forces to recognize St. John's Rehab Hospital for excellent care (April 7, 2009)
  In a special presentation this Wednesday, St. John's Rehab Hospital staff will be recognized for rebuilding the lives of Canada's wounded warriors.
• Ten Internationally-Acclaimed Leaders Speak At Willowdale Church (March 25, 2009)
  Locally, all proceeds from ticket sales at the Willowdale Church site will be donated to St. John's Rehab Hospital located on Cummer Avenue in the Willowdale neighbourhood.
• Wounded hero runs for St. John's Rehab Hospital (March 12, 2009)
  A soldier loses both legs after stepping on a landmine while serving in Afghanistan. Only months after he completes his therapy, he overcomes the odds to run in support of the hospital that rebuilt his life.
• St. John's Rehab Hospital recognized as national leader in governance (February 17, 2009)
  On February 10, 2009, St. John's Rehab was named as one of four governance leaders at the 2009 Conference Board of Canada/Spencer Stuart National Awards in Governance - not-for-profit sector.
