Personal Items to Bring
- Ontario Health Card
- Health insurance information
- Comfortable casual clothes for therapy such as track suits, shorts, T-shirts
- Running or supportive shoes
- Personal items (i.e. pajamas, bathrobe, slippers that do not slide)
- Toiletries (i.e. toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving supplies, shampoo). These items can also be purchased in the gift shop and from the “shopping cart” which volunteers bring to your patient unit
- Electrical items such as hair dryer and curling iron must pass inspection prior to use in the hospital
- Small amount of cash, credit card or cheque
- Dressing aids (where applicable)
- Bathing suit for pool therapy (where applicable)
- If diabetic, please bring personal glucometer
The hospital cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items. We advise that you do not bring large amounts of cash, jewellery or other valuables. Due to interference with equipment, please check with your team coordinator to see if personal mobile phones and laptops can be used in specific areas of the hospital.
